How Your Data comes to us
Detailed data and integration
Voltayze provides access to the Tesla Fleet Telemetry for the products connected to the Tesla account you use to login. For now this is just for your cars.
This means Voltayze does not require a separate username, password, or two factor authentication, and we do not store any of this information either.

Security measures
When it comes to your data we’ve implemented the following measures:
- All user data stored in AWS Cloud is encrypted at rest for security.
- Tesla tokens are kept in a restricted collection, inaccessible to any user accounts.
- Access tokens are refreshed based on needs and are deleted if revoked.
- Voltayze uses Tesla’s OAuth 2 authentication, ensuring it has no access to your Tesla password or two-factor authentication details.
- Voltayze validates access tokens on each request and exchanges them for the current Tesla access token.
- HTTPS is required to use Voltayze services; HTTP connections are blocked, and HSTS is enforced.
- Users are responsible for securing their Voltayze access. Accounts can be revoked any time from the User Administration console.
Initial Setup
Connecting Voltayze with your Tesla
No need to worry—we’ll guide you through every step as you register your account. In the meantime, here are some notes to help you understand the process.
Register
You register to Voltayze, and authorise your Tesla account by visiting tesla.voltayze.com/login. This will redirect you to auth.tesla.com where you can enter your Tesla username, password, and two factor authentication (if enabled). If this is your first time logging in, you will be need to choose which scopes you want to provide Voltayze.
Scopes
The first time you login to Voltayze, Tesla will prompt you to pick what access you would like to provide. It is recommended that you enable all scopes to get the most out of Voltayze, however you can pick and choose any that you want, and change them any time at auth.tesla.com.
- Profile Info – Used to help identify your account and prefill email at checkout
- Vehicle Information – Can query data from Tesla vehicles and configure telemetry.
- Vehicle Commands – Can send all commands to your Tesla vehicles
- Vehicle Charging Management – Can send charging commands to your Tesla vehicles

Login to the Reporting Application
After completing your registration, you’ll find a link to log in to the Reporting App. Through this portal, you’ll have access to reports generated from your car’s data. Initially, these reports may appear blank, but as data starts flowing in, your car’s information will populate automatically.
