Optimizing Charging Costs on Your Dashboard: A Step-by-Step Guide

Managing charging costs for your electric vehicle is an essential part of understanding and optimizing your overall expenses. With the Charges Dashboard, you can easily tag locations, set costs, and streamline tracking for all your charging sessions. Follow these steps to define your charging costs and take full control of your expenses.

We are going to show below how can you set the charging cost for your locations. Once that is done, charging at that location will automatically calculate the cost using that pricing.

1. Open the Charges Dashboard

Start by navigating to the Charges Dashboard on your Voltayze platform. Scroll to the bottom section of the dashboard, where all charging sessions are listed. This section provides a detailed overview of your vehicle’s charging history.

2. Choose a Charging Session

Identify a charging session associated with a location you frequently use or wish to tag as a preferred location. Click on the session to begin updating its details.

3. Update Cost and Tag Information

Once you’ve selected a charging session:

  • Cost Details: Update either the Cost/kWh or the Total Cost for the entire session.

If you fill in the Total Cost of the session, the Cost/kWh is derived automatically and viceversa.

  • Tag Information: Add a meaningful tag, such as “Home,” “Work,” or “Favorite Charging Spot.” This tag will help you identify and group sessions from this location in the future.

All charging at the tagged location will automatically get cost calculated in the future.

4. Save Your Changes

After updating the cost and tag, press the Save button. This session, along with the updated details, will now be stored in the Charges Setup panel.

From this point onward:

  • Any future charging sessions carried out at this location will automatically have the associated cost applied.
  • Past sessions from this location will also reflect the updated cost information, ensuring consistent tracking.
